Laser Warning! Sign and Blinkbox
thingiverse
With the 5.5W LASER linked up to my MPCNC, I required an alert sign and a flashing indicator to show that the machine is functioning. I followed this example of a NE555 circuit: http://www.led-treiber.de/html/leds_blinker.html. It's quite simple to solder the 5 components onto a small prototype board and place it in a printed case (use a 5mm LED and glue it firmly in position). The STL file is included. Then I created two alert signs (DEU and ENG) that can be easily printed. Just change your filament from yellow to black at the right height. I manually entered M600 into the GCODE at layer 13 (this may vary depending on your chosen resolution!). We now have some basic laser safety measures in place at home! Enjoy!
