I found the Synta Shoe for Explore Scientific Handle on thingiverse.com (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2750850) and immediately liked it for my AR102 telescope. My goal was to attach my remote trigger green laser for quick aiming, which is exactly what I got without making any modifications. I also found the Laser Holder for Telescope on thingiverse.com (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2301115), but I wasn't satisfied with how it mounted. Instead, I preferred using a Picatinny rail and keeping the laser close to my scope, especially since it was hanging off the side of the scope and I didn't want to bump into it. I had printed a Vixen/Synta shoe with a Picatinny rail before, but it lacked the small square block that mates with some finder shoes. This meant I had to check for alignment each time I set up my telescope. To solve this problem, I imported the Laser Holder for Telescope into Sketchup and removed the mount and riser from the foot. Next, I imported the Mini Picatinny Rail (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:293502) and altered it slightly to fit perfectly with the finder shoe. After printing it up, a little bit of filing was all that was needed to get it to fit like a glove. The laser was almost perfectly aligned right out of the gate, requiring only a small amount of tweaking to line it up with my scope.
