I designed this custom laser support to eliminate the hassle of constantly repositioning my laser for engraving. It was specifically tailored to fit my 500mw blue-purple laser module from Aliexpress, which can be found here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/500mw-405NM-focusing-blue-purple-laser-module-engraving-with-TTL-control-laser-tube-diode-protective-googles/32562052620.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.gidgN3 Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 70% Notes: To print this design, use the orientation shown in the image. This will result in minimal support material usage. Design Considerations: I optimized this design to minimize filament consumption. Some areas may appear thin due to this goal, but they are more than sufficient for holding my laser module when it's not in use. It's essential to note that this is not a ship or any load-bearing structure, so I'm confident it will perform its intended function. Post-Printing Instructions: If you find the support slightly too tight after printing, simply apply gentle heat from a lighter to the internal corners and push the laser module in place. This should resolve any issues with fitment.
