Laser Pointer Mount

Laser Pointer Mount

I drew this model to fit a VERY specific need. For a production of Seussical the Musical, we wanted the Speck to be portrayed by a laser pointer. To make its motion less shaky, I mounted it to the top of one of our spotlights, in a mount that could be adjusted to align the laser with the targeting sight the spotlight operator was already using. The switch was also bypassed and wired to a momentary toggle switch in a printed housing on the spotlight handle. The bolts for the laser mount are standard 1/4-20 threads. Everything else mounts with zip ties and gaff tape, just like any good stagehand would.
