laser pointer holder to go on servo motor
thingiverse
This design includes a laser pointer holder attached to a servo motor, allowing the laser line to be scanned across an angle for 3D scanning purposes, similar to the Maker Scanner. The photos display how it can easily fit onto a standard RC servo. Additionally, rotating the pointer in the holder keeps the button pressed and the laser on continuously. To create a laser line, place a cylinder lens (not included in photo but can be made from any transparent cylinder) in front of a 'dot' pointer. The model was designed using OpenSCAD and printed with a MakerBot Replicator 2 with 100% fill for sturdy walls, suitable for commonly available LR44-powered pointers. Adjust the code to customize diameter size if desired.
