Laser Pointer Holder for Buildlog.net 2.x Laser
thingiverse
This laser module holder, designed for the 2.x Laser cutter, positions a laser pointer into the beam path when the door is open and swings it up out of the way when closed. It's an alternative to using a beam splitter or knife-edge mirror. The instructions include preparing raw prints, assembling electronics, focusing the laser (if necessary), installing the holder, and adjusting the position of the laser pointer. Installation involves attaching the hinge to the rail behind the lid with M5x10 screws and post-install t-nuts, making adjustments using three M3 screws, and routing the wires through a T-slot in the rail. The holder is inspired by a previous design but uses easier-to-print STL files.
