
Laser Pointer for 18650 Cell

A 3d Printed housing for a laser pointer. Simple design, houses a 18650 LiPo Battery, slot for a recharging unit* via micro USB. PLA parts glued using Cyanoacrylate which works on PLA very well. Items to note: Battery Housing is slightly ellipse in shape, so there is room to pass the wire from the bottom part of the battery cell. Battery housing and Laser Module Housing you need to thread the wires first before assembling. I used a simple switch, you can use something more sophisticated up to 4mm width. The charging and voltage modification boards are readily available on ebay as : Battery Charger Board DC-DC Step Up Boost For 18650 Lithium Li-ion Circuit. The switch is glued in with Epoxy, and a dab was put on the circuit board. I would assemble everything up but leave soldering the negative terminal of the battery to the board last... LiPo cells have a lot of current, and if you touch the boards while soldering another wire it can short out quickly. Please use responsibly, do not point directly at other people, be careful not to have it reflect off surfaces, never point it at airplanes or cars. Enjoy.
