This part is an adapter that permits connecting 50mm (2 inch) flexible duct hose to the exhaust port of the Laser Pecker 2. It has a 5/16" (7.9mm) diameter "cross-drilled" hole that allows installing a butterfly valve, which is useful for multi-point volume fume extraction systems, such as the Weller WES 2FE for which this part was designed: the adapter can be left permanently connected to the LP2 and the butterfly valve closed when not in use. Unlike some other designs, this part does not require re-using components of the factory LP2 exhaust fan; it includes the locking tabs required to mate to the LP2 fume hood.
