Laser mount to fit 71mm router clamp ie. Bosch Colt
thingiverse
This mount is specifically designed to hold an APT Lighting World 15w laser head in place of a Bosch Colt router. I created six parts using 123 Design: base, four sides, and one blank side. The base fits the router clamp perfectly, while the slide-in mounts for the current regulator board and xt60 rc power connectors are securely attached to their respective sides. A bnc coaxial connector hole is also present on one of the sides for pwm connections. To ensure safe and efficient power distribution, I used two xt60 connectors, which can be easily secured with a thin layer of super glue. The frame was designed to fit an 80mm computer case fan perfectly, and a dual plug end for xt60 connectors was printed to connect it to a 14-3 extension cord wire. The base is connected to the frame using thin super glue, while the other parts are attached with 4-40 cap screws. Due to the flange on the laser head, I had to file a 2mm deep notch in the router clamp to ensure clearance and prevent stress points. The side panels can be rotated freely to accommodate different configurations. The print material used is black PLA, printed at medium resolution using my Flash Forge Dreamer. I've included STL and 123DX files for the assembled parts, which need to be moved and aligned before printing. The laser head was purchased from eBay, and I extended the wire from the fan to reach the board. No other modifications were necessary to the laser unit.
