The user mounts a simple bracket atop the X gantry to securely fasten a laser module in place. To ensure optimal positioning, attach the laser module directly to the bracket, then carefully install the bracket onto the printer itself. Double-check that it does not interfere with the printer's internal geometry. While print settings are largely irrelevant, they were set at 40% infill, 200 microns layer height, and four shells for this particular setup. Mounting from underneath is strongly discouraged due to heat generated by the hot end causing warping of the bracket material. A SketchUp source file has been provided to facilitate effortless modifications and customizations as needed.
