Step 1: Safety PrecautionsEnsure the laser is turned off and the key is removed before beginning any work on the machine.Wear appropriate safety gear, including laser safety glasses.Step 2: Access the MirrorsOpen the laser machine to access the mirrors. Typically, there are three mirrors: the first is near the laser tube, the second is at the bending point, and the third is on the laser head.Step 3: Clean the MirrorsCarefully clean the mirrors with a proper cleaning solution and a non-abrasive cloth designed for optical surfaces.Step 4: Align the First MirrorPlace a piece of thermal paper or adhesive tape at the target area on the first mirror.Fire a test pulse at the lowest power setting to mark the paper or tape.Adjust the screws on the side of the laser tube until the beam hits the center of the mirror.Repeat the test pulse and adjust until the beam consistently hits the center.Step 5: Align the Second MirrorMove the laser head to the farthest point from the first mirror.Place thermal paper or tape on the second mirror's target area.Fire a test pulse.Adjust the screws on the first mirror to move the beam to the center of the second mirror.Repeat the test at different positions of the X-axis to ensure the beam remains centered at all points.Step 6: Align the Third MirrorMove the laser head to the four corners of the bed and repeat the process used for the second mirror.Adjust the screws on the second mirror to align the beam with the center of the third mirror. The beam should hit the same point on the third mirror regardless of the position of the laser head.Step 7: Final Alignment to the LensPlace the thermal paper or tape over the lens holder or directly onto the lens.Fire a test pulse. If the beam is not centered, adjust the third mirror.Check at multiple points of the bed to ensure consistent alignment.Step 8: Test and VerifyOnce all mirrors are aligned, perform a test cut or engrave on a piece of material. If the laser is not cutting or engraving evenly across the surface, you may need to re-check the mirror alignment.Step 9: Reassemble and Clean UpOnce the alignment is verified, reassemble any parts that were removed.Clean up any tools and remove the thermal paper or tape from the mirrors.Step 10: Document the CalibrationKeep a log of the calibration settings and any adjustments made for future reference.Remember to follow your specific laser machine's manual for any additional steps or safety precautions that may be necessary. Laser systems can vary, and the manufacturer's instructions should always take precedence.
