Laser Marker Clamp for Harbor Freights 20" 12 Speed Production Drill Press

This is a clamp for attaching two laser markers to the nose of the spindle sleeve, 90 degree opposed for X and Y centering, to the Harbor Freight 20" 12 Speed Production Drill Press. Over the years, there have been at least 3 different versions of the 20" drill press offered by Harbor Freight. I purchased my 20" drill press in 2015 and it's SKU# is: 61484. That's not to say that matching the SKU# will guarantee a product identical to the one I purchased, as Harbor Freight does make engineering changes to products without notice. The exposed portion of my spindle sleeve has an approximate diameter of 92mm. If your spindle sleeve isn't close to that measurement, this clamp will not work for you. The laser markers I'm using are also a Harbor Freight purchase, SKU# 93242. The clamp attaches to the sleeve with 1 1/8" x 3/4" wood screw. The markers attach to the clamp using the same screw and nut that secure the markers to the included magnetic bases. Adjust the two beams to form a redicle that is approximately centered on the chuck, then, using a 3/16" drill bit in the press, drill a light colored piece of wood or metal and fine tune the redicle's alignment on the 3/16" hole. I did a similar modification to the 10" drill press I kept in my basement workshop years ago, and it was always my intent to hardwire the markers to a 4.5volt DC transformer, allowing both to be turned off and on from a single switch. It's been 15 years, and I've replaced those button cell batteries several times already... Some time after I've got things set up the way I want them at the new house, I do intend to make that modification to both drill presses. That modification will require 1 small 3D printed part for each marker. Once I've done it, I'll publish that as well and link it here.
