A laser's kerf, determined by its blade width, varies across machines and materials due to focus differences. Reducing power can lower the kerf. Improved cutting is observed when correcting focal lens orientation, as many Chinese cutters come with it inverted. This change reduced my laser's kerf from 0.2mm to 0.17mm. To measure kerf, use a specific tool with 8mm x 10mm blocks. Mark the top before removing from the bed and arrange them in alternating order for accurate results. The tool also helps assess beam slope with additional calculations. Refer to the instructions provided for usage details.
