Laser Holder for photoresist PCB's
thingiverse
Upgrade your 3D printer with PCB-making capabilities using a UV laser to expose photoresist boards without needing transparencies. Here are the steps: Expose the board by running the code. Drop the board into some developer solution. Use your preferred etching solution to etch the board, and it's done. This method is compatible with the Quick-fit carriage (Thing #19590), allowing for quick PCB-making-to-3D-printing transitions. Check out Thingiverse item #19590 for more information. The laser used is a 405 nm violet, 150 mWatt model. Drive the laser using the fan's PWM signal - no firmware updates needed. I connected D9 on my RAMPS 1.4 board to achieve this. Note: It's crucial to wear Laser Safety Goggles when working with lasers. Add a switch inline with the laser's power input for enhanced safety.
