This case is a versatile solution for using a laser to point a GoPro. It was specifically designed to create arrays of GoPro cameras for time-slice videography, also known as "Bullet Time" shots. Bullet Time effects were made famous by the iconic movie The Matrix. Check out an example Bullet Time video here: You'll need multiple cameras for this technique and each one must be carefully aligned to achieve a great result. For optimal results, you should also use a remote trigger so that all cameras are in sync. This ensures that your videos are perfectly synchronized without the hassle of lining up each frame manually. Here's an example of what happens when you don't use a sync cable and have slight misalignments: The video is still good, but it's not as impressive as one with perfect synchronization. The back of this case is open for attaching a bullet time sync cable. You can find more information about this cable at cam-do.com/products/bullet-cable. Small tabs on the top and bottom of the case prevent the camera from sliding out the back. There's a mount on top for a 9mm alignment laser. Any 9mm diameter laser module will work, but for close-up shots, I recommend using the Quarton laser crosshair module available at amazon.com/gp/product/B00BP42YMW. However, if the camera is more than a few feet away from the target, you'll probably want to use a laser dot instead of a crosshair because it's not very bright from a distance. This case was designed with OpenSCAD and successfully printed and test-fit on a Lulzbot Taz4. It fits both Hero3 and Hero3+ cameras. I don't have a Hero 4 for testing purposes, but feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently printing the rest of my cases and waiting for my sync cable to arrive. When everything is ready, I'll post a picture of my camera array and possibly share a sample video of the results. Andrew Moore San Antonio, TX December 1, 2015
