Laser engraver with swappable system
thingiverse
I recently created a versatile hot end swap kit available on Thingiverse under https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3547740 that allows this laser engraver to be easily installed. I deliberately positioned the female d-sub connector on the tool side because the mixed male version fits perfectly into a regular female one, but not vice versa. A significant benefit I've discovered is that you don't need to connect the laser directly to the control board or resort to using a switch. Instead, simply use the schematics provided in the hot end swap kit and connect the laser to the part fan and the laser's fan to the hot end fan. This setup ensures the fan remains constantly spinning, keeping the engraver cooler.
