Laser Engraver build MKII "Lazeronika"
thingiverse
I received a Labists laser engraver as a gift and building the machine around it. This one is Mk8. the screw holes on the laser head are M3x12 and the wheel holes are M4x 30, You have to print it flat with at least 50 percent infill to make it strong enough in the belt connections and that the plate wont bend from the wheels, assembly: the wheels first, they are recessed so they do not rub the 20x20 extrusion, then the laser. Laser side spacers are so the plate stays flat and not hit the screws, and cooling. made it to fit the 20x29 x axis extrusion make sure the ecc nut is all the way open when it slides on. if you want the full build, follow this, i will update, as time allows for other parts of the complete machine... Update: Y-Axis Printed the plates for Y-axis long edge down, flat side vertical, with supports. M5 screws for the wheels the spacers are the same size as the eccentric Update: Feet, printed vertically the belt tension is governed through the use of the slots on front and rear List: 1 plate 4 laser side spacer 1 ecc nut 2 gantry spacer 3 M4x30 screw 4 M4 washer 3 M4 nut 3 625zz wheel "I used the donated clear polymer wheels" 4 M3x12 screw 1 2020 alum extrusion 340mm "donated" 1 GT2 Idler Pulley 20 Toothless Bore 5mm Timing Belt "Donated for tension" """note; i didn't build the 2020 end belt tension I found one Already made on thingiverse"" Update 1 Y-axis Gantry List: 1 Gantry Y lower 1 Gantry Y upper 6 Gantry Y spacer 2 7mm M5 ecc nut 4 X Motor Spacer 4 M5 x 50mm screw 4 M5 Washer 4 M5 nut 4 625zz wheel "I used the donated clear polymer wheels" 2 Nema 17 stepper motors 4.1v 1A "Donated" 4 M3x8 "lower y motor" 4 M3x30 "upper motor" 3 M3x8 3 M3 tnut "attach 2020 x rail" 1 2040 alum extrusion 390mm "donated" 1 set of Ender 3 2GT belts "donated" Y axis 720mm + X axis 765mm 2 20 Teeth 5mm Bore Timing Pulley GT2 Aluminium Synchronous Wheel for 6mm Belt "donated" Front and Rear Ft. printed vertically 4 M4x30 screw Electronic list 1 3-axis GRBL mainboard version 4 w/ offline controller "Donated" 1 60mm 12v fan "rescued" 1 50w laser head 1 power supply 24v 7a Note Had to workup and reflash firmware 1.1h custom Update 03/16/22: although the machine can reach higher speeds the feet need to be tacked down as the shifting makes laser image goofy. there is a file ortur feet that fit. maybe a redesign of feet. soon i will post the grbl codes that im using, added locking washers to M4 bolts that hold on the wheels to the X gantry plate. """screw, lockwasher, plate, spacer, wheel, washer, nut"""" This Project works well with the feet of the printer. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4676121 This project is a nice Y belt keeper https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2799028
