This is my homemade 2 axis laser engraver/cutter design. Hardware: parts to be built in a 3D printer (FDM machine), STL files are provided Electronics: open source - arduino + protoshield + pololus Software: GRBL + inkscape + laserengraver plugin for inkscape Please find the video of this machine in operation in: https://youtu.be/96YD_HWW7sc Instructions Bill of Materials (BOM)*STRUCTURE*** around 500gr of ABS filament (for 3D printer) 2 screwed bars (diameter 10mm, length 340mm) 8 Nuts M10 with washers 4 screwed bars (diameter 8mm, length 352mm) 34 Nuts M8 with washers 2 smooth bars (diameter 8mm, length 305mm, stainless steel) Rubber band (around 1 meter) for power transmission 28 bolts (diameter 3mm, length 15mm) with their nuts 2 headless bolts (diameter 3mm for fixing motor pulley to shaft) Acrilic plate (bar_y_axis.stl) MDF Plate (wooden plate)*ELECTRONICS*** 2 Arduino uno (for motor and laser control respectively) 1 Protoshield + 2 pololus for stepper motor control 2 stepper motors Nema4, 6-12V, 1,8 grad 1 potentiometer 10k 1 power supply (12V, 1.5Amp) for actors 1 power supply (12V, 2,5Amp) for laser 1 Laser 100mW (ebay) to 2W (KaleCNC)
