Laser Cut Wooden Phone Cover
thingiverse
I designed this custom phone case using laser cutting techniques on a 3mm thick piece of plywood, which also functions as a phone stand. Initially, I set the distance between the living hinge cut lines to 2mm, but it failed to bend properly. After adjusting the gap to just 1mm, I'm confident that it will flex more smoothly. I incorporated some clever installation techniques inspired by leather crafting skills when attaching the buttons. To secure the phone in place, I employed four magic tapes and a sticker on one side to hold a card steady. The unique design was hand-drawn rather than laser-engraved - a deliberate choice, as I found it challenging to replicate the same level of detail through computer-aided means. This custom case is specifically designed for 5" mobile phones; feel free to adjust the camera opening's placement and size according to your preferences.
