Laser Cut Winter Votive Lantern

This is a custom laser-cut winter lantern designed to hold an LED votive light source. It's crafted from 1/4" (5mm) thick plywood, with artificial vellum diffusion paper applied to the interior surfaces. Note that two of the sides are slightly narrower than the other two to fit snugly inside them, and the internal "squares" are actually rectangular and must be inserted in a specific orientation. Currently, these narrower sides measure 10mm less than their counterparts to account for 5mm plywood thickness; if you switch to 2.5mm (1/8th inch) material, simply subtract 5mm from the larger side width and adjust accordingly. To assemble this lantern, use wood glue to join the cutout parts together, then secure the diffusion paper in place with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The square with the smaller circle serves as the bottom component and accommodates a LED flushmount votive candle insert; however, it's recommended that you purchase the votive LED first and adjust the hole size accordingly. The square with the larger hole is positioned under the star cutouts on the top piece and securely fits inside the lantern through friction fit.
