Laser cut watch band / strap - leather, fabric....
thingiverse
This is a design for a laser-cut watch band. I used it on leather, but it can be applied to thick fabric too. Using a laser cutting machine makes precise cuts on the sides, holes, and other details easier to achieve. The file has been updated to include: pre-drilled sewing holes an engraved sewing line This results in a neat-looking stitch and simplifies the project: cut it, glue it, sew it into the pre-drilled holes, and you're done! Material Requirements: Leather 1mm thick or less is recommended. Two needles (preferably with round tips) are necessary, along with some heavy-duty thread (at least 0.5mm thick, linen or synthetic, waxed if possible). Sew it using the "saddle stitch" technique (look up; it's easy). Instructions: Sewing and/or gluing are required. This watch band consists of two parts: part 1 with the buckle and part 2 with holes for the buckle pin. Fold each part over itself, then sew as desired (see photos). A full tutorial with detailed instructions will be uploaded upon request.
