Create an easy-to-make, functional reciprocating rack and pinion gear system with laser cutting technology from .188" (5mm) MDF and .160" (4mm) acrylic. To enhance smooth movement, use acrylic for the rack gear. Essential items include one 2' X 2' piece of .188" (5mm) MDF and a 12" X 6" .160" (4mm) acrylic piece (optionally replace with 5mm MDF). Also, prepare a 1.0" long, 3/8" diameter wood dowel and a 2.5" long, 3/8" diameter one for assembly. Follow the assembly guidelines provided in this video: https://youtu.be/YegS5bKZgSw.
