This laptop stand is directly inspired by the groundbreaking Laser-cut Laptop Stand for Macbook Air designed by AndrewSleigh. Several improvements were made: 1) the joints have an asymmetrical design that clicks into place; a small recess on one side of the crossbar slips snugly over a matching protrusion above the main cutout in the opposing piece, securely locking them together; a second improvement involves the shortening of the crossbar's edges to prevent any accidental breakage when handling or disassembling. 2) small ridges were strategically positioned near the front of the stand to prevent laptops from slipping off. 3) rounded corners add protection during the assembly process. Assembling this stand is quite straightforward; the components are cut from high-quality 1/8th-inch-thick acrylic using a laser cutting technique. A great way to check the joint tightness is by cutting out the test file provided; assembling these smaller pieces will yield a satisfying "clicking" sound when they fit snugly together. If needed, you can fine-tune the tolerances for better results.
