Laser Cut Ping Pong Ball Cannon
thingiverse
This is a further remix of the Ping Pong Ball cannon found here: https://dxfprojects.com/5-toys/534-cannon-for-ping-pong-balls. The previous remix was tweaked for 3mm wood, but this version has been adjusted to fit perfectly on a stock K40 Laser Cutter. Additionally, I've included an STL for a 25.4mm diameter ball that can be used as ammo. The original ball was very small and caused problems during construction. Here are some essential construction tips: 1. Ensure the crossbar is inserted into the barrel with the tab facing upwards so it will be held by the trigger. This is crucial, and the crossbar must go in before gluing the rest of the barrel together. 2. Use identical rubber bands to achieve evenly distributed pressure, which prevents the crossbar from skewing and binding. Most importantly, build two cannons and have fun shooting them at each other! Cut both files using K40 Whisperer with no engraving required. Simply load and click "Vector Cut."
