This Project was crafted using an Epilog Mini 40W Laser system. The material of choice was a sturdy 1/4" Oak plywood, precision-cut at 600 DPI to ensure crisp details. Raster Engraving settings included Speed: 50, Power: 100, and Frequency: - (omitted for optimal results). Vector Cutting parameters were optimized with Speed: 10, Power: 100, and Frequency: 500. Red Felt was cut into precise shapes at 600 DPI, utilizing Vector Cutting techniques set to Speed: 20, Power: 100, and Frequency: 5000. The woodcutting process involved several key steps. Firstly, the Oak plywood was expertly separated into distinct pieces. Next, each separate piece was carefully stained with a different color to create a visually striking effect. A special adhesive, gorilla wood glue, was then applied to reconnect the pieces, forming a cohesive and durable whole. Finally, a music box mechanism and mirror were elegantly integrated into the design, adding an extra layer of sophistication and visual interest.
