Laser cut MDF Star Wars Legion launch pad

Laser cut MDF Star Wars Legion launch pad

thingiverse

I'm reviving the Battle Kiwi kickstarter pieces for Star Wars Legion with a fresh approach. I've pulled out my trusty k40 laser cutter and designed these terrain pieces from scratch. Crafted from 3mm baltic birch, they're a great starting point, but MDF is still the preferred choice for terrain wood. This is my first-ever laser cut terrain piece, so it's a bit rough around the edges, but that's exactly what I needed - a learning experience. The design can be easily repurposed as either a missile silo or an escape launch pad. The details are carefully engraved, while the rest of the piece was precision-cut by the laser. I'm sharing my svg file with you all, which allowed me to perfectly coordinate laser operations along each path. I've also included the sketchup file that I used to export those shapes as a seamless SVG to laserweb4. As promised, these pieces are scaled to perfection for any Legion terrain makers out there - think naked Jawa and Gonk at scale. Want to join forces with fellow Legion terrain enthusiasts?
