Laser Cut LED Lantern
thingiverse
Love the original, but for many people, LEDs are much safer than lit candles, so I have adjusted this to meet the need. This was cut on our Hackspace laser cutter, measuring 300 x 400mm, making it suitable for most standard-sized cutters. Supervision by an adult is highly recommended for children as this project involves soldering, gluing, and sharp tools. A build guide is included, assuming you already have all the necessary parts, which we would normally supply as a kit. The guide also suggests using a 9v battery, but if you choose a different power source, you'll need to adjust the resistor value (a 9v battery with one LED can last an incredibly long time).
