Laser Cut Lake Tahoe

I engineered this project at school as part of a collaborative effort with my group. We spent about a month working on the project together, utilizing Fusion 360 and primarily the spline tool to meticulously trace out an outline of each layer in Lake Tahoe. The final product turned out exceptionally well, and we created two distinct models. One model was crafted from wood, while the other utilized cardboard as its primary material. We employed paint to give the lake a vibrant color scheme, and a clear coat to add a glossy finish. Additionally, we applied wood stain to the top layer to create striking contrast between the water and land. The unique aspect of creating this lake lies in its customizability: You can tailor it by cutting as many or as few layers as desired You can cut it out of various materials You can make it any size you prefer, large or small You can incorporate diverse land/water features such as the Nevada-California border, forests, lakes, streets, and water depth
