I reinforced the legs on my default sgraber heat bed platform with some added weight to ensure stability, especially since I was working with plywood. Check out this video for more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzKvgljj40c In it, you can see how I used 1/4" plywood and adjusted my laser settings to speed=20%, power=75%, frequency=500 Hz to get the job done. However, I didn't quite complete the project on time, so for the braces, I slowed down the process and increased the power. My Epilog Helix laser cutter made quick work of it. For version 2, I added even more weight to the Bed Plate carriage and combined all the components into a single cutting job that measured 18"x24".
