Laser Cut Blocks
thingiverse
To fill laser-cut leftover spaces with fun Lego-compatible blocks, import the QCAD DXF (LCBlockFiller.20091210.dxf) or source SVG (LCBlockFiller.20091210.inkscape.svg), and cut them from 3mm to 10mm thick material, ensuring to keep the inner 5mm diameter cylinders for Lego compatibility. Post-cutting, place the block on a real Lego piece to pop out these cylinders. Shape the cylinders/holes to match Lego peg dimensions at 4.9mm with 0.05mm knobs around the periphery. Pull and rotate the knobs at 45 degrees before forcing them back into the hole. For a better fit, use cyanoacrylate glue if friction isn't enough to hold the knobs in place. Note that LEGO is a trademark of the LEGO Group, and this exploration isn't associated with them.
