Create a boxy beam with 120mm x 120mm cross section using this 3-part modular template. It's perfect for robotics projects but can be adapted to various uses. Add as many sections as needed for extended length. However, note that end pieces are not included, pending design of mating parts. Files assume 5mm plywood in a 30 watt Epilog Zing laser cutter, with an offset of .08mm for kerf compensation. Adjust files if using another material or machine. The attached photo shows individual pieces; one doesn't have the "thumbhole" as it's from an earlier version, designed before realizing need to access electronics within beam. No slot/tab mating nodes are used, but friction alone keeps beam tightly together. Tips for better nodes found in shared links. After laser cutting, finish with 16mm M3 allen bolts and nuts for assembly.
