Laser Cut 4-in-a-row Game
thingiverse
The classic 4 in a row game crafted from precision-cut 3mm laser plywood, requiring no adhesives or fasteners whatsoever. Each piece fits together seamlessly by hand, thanks to its expertly designed tolerances, which snap into place with a gentle tap of a small pin hammer. Alternatively, a sturdy object will suffice. The digital model was created on OnShape, then exported as a DXF file to 2D Design, where it was refined for optimal printability. An exploded view was included to illustrate the game's clever construction. To bring this design to life, I applied water-based wood stain to each disc and Danish oil to the frame, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through in a rich, vibrant finish.
