Laser / CNC Cut Vice

Laser / CNC Cut Vice

thingiverse

Create a lightweight vice for precise routing or engraving tasks. The CNC-cut version is available, while a printable option can be found online (fingers crossed!). For the printed version, you need one of each .stl file. Use 6mm MDF for optimal results, although other thicknesses may work as well. Start by cutting out all MDF parts and stacking them according to the GA; glue helps with alignment using M4 bolts through the 3.3mm holes. Don't glue bridging bars across the top of the two M8 nuts in the screw_block. To hold anti-lift blocks in place without relying on glue, use csk head M4s through the moving jaw body. A printable .stl file is also provided for those with 3D printers, generated from sub-assemblies of laminated parts. Be sure to check part numbers in the uploaded PDF for accuracy. Enjoy your new vice!
