Laser Chess

Laser chess is an exciting twist on traditional chess, inspired by Khet 2.0. To build this version, first print laser cut pieces including a king, laser, guards, scarabs, and pyramids. Add reflective surfaces to one or two-sided pieces for optimal gameplay. Designate the immune side of the guard and decorate the king as desired. Install a laser diode, switch, and battery to the laser piece. Enjoy playing by regular chess rules with the addition of firing lasers at the end of each turn, and destroying pieces hit on non-mirrored or immune sides. Consider alternative rules such as simultaneous moves, half-silvered mirrors, and height-sensitive pieces for added challenge.
