Based on an idea from Michael Cox, I built this fantastic gadget. Link: http://mikesworkshop.weebly.com/laser-centring-device.html To take it to the next level, you'll need a couple of extra tools - one is a super-cheap Chinese laser pointer (check out the photo above), along with an 8mm threaded rod and a hotend printer nozzle that doubles as an iris to narrow down the laser beam. This setup works flawlessly for pinpointing centers of punch marks, holes, and even large bores - it's the most effective centering device I've ever used!
