Laser Blade - Acrylic
thingiverse
Credits go to Plasma2002 for this idea, which has been modified to suit common razor blades. The AutoCAD drawing file is also included. After making mine from 1/4-inch acrylic, I highly recommend these tools; they replaced my honeycomb table. Laser-cutting discoloration at the edge of the table is eliminated, and visibility of the workpiece improves. Usually, I have six of them on the laser bed at once or less if the material is smaller. To create these, use a Full Spectrum 40W hobby laser, 4th generation, with settings of 25% speed and 100% power. However, don't use them in a shared production environment or around children or people who lack razor blade safety knowledge. These offer numerous advantages over honeycomb tables; just ensure you follow the warning. Give it a try - I doubt you'll revert to your old table. Thank you, Plasma2002, for making me a believer!
