Laser-B
thingiverse
I picked up a used 3D printer from a buddy and wanted to give new life to the NEMA17 stepper motors and the long hiwin MGN9 linear rails that came with it. So I went out and bought a high-powered NEJE laser, capable of producing 6000 milliwatts of power. After taking some measurements, I started designing some plastic parts around the components, and this is what I ended up with. I used the machine to try out some engraving and cutting jobs. The design allows me to place the machine directly on top of the product that needs to be engraved or cut. If you're interested in learning more about the NEJE laser and what kinds of materials it can cut and/or engrave, I recommend checking out some YouTube videos about it. I was able to use compressed air to help the cutting process along, and even managed to cut through 5mm Baltic birch plywood. Introduction Video: https://youtu.be/t6olvmp0VWE
