Version 1.0 is designed for lasers with a body diameter of 12mm Version 1.2 is designed for lasers with a body diameter of 14.5mm Forum: http://www.forum.sakul.cz/viewtopic.php?p=1688#p1688 Web: http://www.sakul.cz To operate the Laser smoothly, you need to use the Repetier firmware. I've attached my modified version (firmware version: Repetier_0.92.9), which is designed for use with the Rebel II printer, with the following parameters: Board - RAMPS 1.4 Display - Full Graphic Smart Controler (RepRapDiscount) SD support - Enabled EEPROM support - Enabled BaudRate - 115200 bps Drivers - DRV8825 (microstep 1/32) DRV8825 voltage - 0.5V on the trimmer Axis Z - M6 with a pitch of 1mm (6400 steps per mm) Axes X, Y - T2.5 belt with 16 teeth (160 steps per mm) Extruder - 305 steps per mm Max temperature - 290°C Min temperature - 180°C (for extruder movement) PLA temperature - Hotend: 210°C, Bed: 70°C ABS temperature - Hotend: 260°C, Bed: 120°C The firmware has automatic fan control enabled for the extruder when the hotend temperature exceeds 50°C. This control is available on the Ramps board at output D5 (Servo connectors). The fan speed can be adjusted to maximum (255-PWM). On the Ramps board, output D6 (Servo connectors) controls the electronics or power source fan. It turns on automatically when the system is powered on and has a PWM setting of 200. A non-compiled version of the firmware and a compiled HEX version are available for less experienced users. The compiled version can be uploaded using the XLoader program, which is also included: To upload the firmware, select DEVICE: Rebel II in the XLoader program, set the correct COM port where the printer is connected, select the desired firmware version (with a .HEX extension), and click the Upload button. After uploading, a number will appear at the bottom of the XLoader window, followed by a "bytes uploaded" message. The firmware update has been successfully completed. The printer resets and is ready for use. Important information: Laser control is performed on pin D4 on the Ramps board, and in this firmware, it is set so that laser turning on is done with logical level L (LOG-0) and turning off with logical level H (LOG-1), which seems counterintuitive. The power circuit for the laser itself is also attached. To complete, I note that a standard 7805 voltage regulator with a small heatsink was used as IC1, and a high-performance transistor BD139 was used as Q1. Otherwise, the components are the same as in the diagram. Control is connected to the power circuit on input X2-1 (D4 LOG 0 - ON). The laser used is of the following type: Wavelength: 405nm m, blue-purple laser Optical power: 200mW Voltage: 5.5-5.9V (it can use a phone battery or three batteries, etc.) Current: 110-145ma Length: 40mm Body diameter: 12mm The Laser Engraver Repetier program is used to generate G-code and is also included.
