Laser alignment tool for a pillar or ordinary drill.
prusaprinters
This simple print enables laser accuracy when drilling holes.New version: this enables the lasers to be attached to the drill. This is rather more sensible! Slice the stls “drill holder a” "bolt" and “Squeezer t” with your own settings.Attach the "drill holder a" to the end of the drill, slide the squeezer into the open recess. Screw the bolt into the threaded part of "drill holder a" and tighten it gently (its only plastic) to press the squeezer onto the drill. Add the lasers (available for about £10 GBP for 2)Ive added the OpenSCAD files for the holder and squeezer. The screw is pretty standard M8 and you can use a metal m8 bolt if you like. {Old version: The challenge was to drill 6 holes in a triangular shapes casting. The box holds the casting and the laser holder snaps into the top of the box.(The casting in this case is triangular and is turned through 120 degrees to drill two holes in each side.)}Print instructionsSet "subsequent layers" to 240 (not 250) degrees otherwise standard prusa PET-G filament.
