Larynx in Parts Easier Print
prusaprinters

The voice teachers asked if I would print them model larynx's to show their students and the existing models either didn't come apart or were too fragile to print so I made some edits and the teachers love them.

I struggled to get the Epiglottis to print in place in the original model so I removed it and thickened it for easier printing. I also bulked up the vocal folds and connected them for easier printing and gluing.

For assembly glue the vocal folds to the trachea and glue the epiglottis to the thyroid/ hyoid the pieces can then sit inside one another for display.

I have attached a rendering of the assembly as well as a picture of the print I made colored and assembled. As well as a PDF chart to color

The Trachea piece can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3137554

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.16

Infill:

40

Post-Printing

I colored my model using UNI Posca paint pens they worked great on the PLA and adhered well on PLA+ but took longer to dry. I used this link ( https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/anatomy-of-the-larynx-a00bc73a303c46248db6a13a88b23404 ) to assist in coloring and labeling the parts in the chart.

Remixed From: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2530935
