Larry's BDF
thingiverse
This is a remix of Ben Harbor's BDF Mount by Ericrobb4. I needed to mount the BDF externally so I added to the forward portion of the BDF to strengthen it and round off the leading edge. I added holes in one of the vanes to zip tie the motor leads to as well as adding a hole in the case for the leads to exit. I added a slotted set of motor mount holes to accept motors with both a 16x16 and 16x19 bolt patterns. The BDF vanes have a slight angle to them so it works best with a CW propeller. I mirrored the BDF and included both a CW and CCW versions. I drew a mount that uses tabs to locate in the foamboard as well as an exhaust tube that has an exit diameter that is 85% of the BDF fan swept area. The exhaust tube mounts with 2 screws to the BDF and one screw on the aft mount block. It works quite well I've included a youtube link with it flying on an Einzpfeil. I've also included the .stl for the Einzpfeil ventilation eyes. The power setup in the video is a Xing 2208 2450kv, 4S 1300mah battery, and Dalprop 4045BN prop Charlie Fite’s Einzpfeil plans can be found here. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-H_6BYyi04P0M6XORa9hOYfM9KMBEWnI https://youtu.be/hZrDLVJ3AT0
