LARP Punch Shield Handle
prusaprinters
Originally intended as a handle for low-cost and easy to make LARP punch shields (made from cardboard box tops, storage container lids, trash can lids, etc.) it can be easily adapted to other applications.Designed to be printed in the orientation of the STL file for maximum strength along critical axes. You'll need two grips and one handle. “grip2” is the standard version, and “grip3” is the low profile version. The grip uses M5 screws and embedded nuts, including two 40mm screws for strength. The handle uses two M4 65mm screws for strength. If using a base like cardboard box tops that do not hold machine screws alone, the drill guides “guide2” and “guide3” can also serve as a front face with the cardboard sandwiched between the two. Currently there is only one size handle that is designed for a typical human adult hand. While I may design a variety of handles in the future, I have also included the sketchup files to make the handle. “punch shield handle3 d” is the base, use sketchup's “follow me” tool to create custom handles. “punch shield handle3 h” is the final and can be grown or shrunk as desired using sketchup's “move" tool.
