Here is a quick mod I came up with to make turning on and off a Walmart Mainstay floor light more convenient. You might need to scale it down or up slightly to get a snug fit with the original knob. Both my lamps had 17 grooves, so that's what I included in this design. Your mileage may vary, and it could also work for other lamps that I'm not familiar with.
