Larger Eggbot Pen Arm
thingiverse
When using your Eggbot (http://egg-bot.com), did you find the standard pen arm too small for your preferred fine point Sharpie marker? I certainly did, especially as I'd just bought a pack specifically for my new device. This replacement pen arm is designed for the Eggbot, enabling it to accommodate Sharpie markers (as well as any smaller-diameter alternatives). For printing purposes, use a Maker Bot TOM with ABP and these settings: 1.75mm ABS plastic, 4mm extruder diameter, an extruder temperature of 125 degrees Celsius, a platform temperature of 120 degrees C (to prevent curling), three shells (possibly increase to four for personal preference), 15% fill, and a .3mm layer height. After printing, insert the screws first before 'threading' the holes - this requires some effort due to the smaller hole size designed for a firm grip. Then, remove the nut from the default Eggbot pen arm and attach it to your new model. Finally, add the thumbscrew, marker, and enjoy using your Eggbot with Sharpie markers!
