I took the featured flashlight projector as inspiration and scaled up my design, incorporating a mount for an LED array powered by a motion detector. After 12 hours of printing 1lb of ABS plastic, I had a working prototype in hand. Nevertheless, I had to cover all but one LED with aluminum foil to make it visible and focused. An additional 5 or 6 inches of focal length would not have gone amiss either. The motion detector I used is a Harbor Freight model that comes equipped with a solar panel, ensuring the batteries stay charged at all times.
