This versatile spool holder makes 3D printing possible with machines lacking built-in filament support and allows for large spools to be used on equipment unable to accommodate them. The design enables us to utilize 2.25kg filament spools on our Ultimaker 2+, a machine designed specifically to handle only 1kg or smaller spools. We can also use this stand to secure unspooled filament that would otherwise fall off the standard Ultimaker mount and other similar devices not designed with both ends securely covered!
