Large Spool

I created a Large Spool to wrap string on, but it will work with pretty much anything you need to store on a spindle - string, paracord, rope, belts, thread, yarn, etc. It works very well for this purpose and is a good size to fit on a large spindle. This object should be easily printable on most 3d printers. I was able to successfully print these on a RepRap Prusa i3. The dimensions of this object are as follows: Spool Height: 12.0 cm Spool Interior Radius: 1.6 cm (3.2 cm diameter) Spool Exterior Radius: 5.0 cm (10.0 cm diameter) Hole for Spindle Radius: 1.0 cm (2.0 cm diameter) I note that I created this from another design, which is a customized version of this spool: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28902 using the Thingiverse.com Customizer! here: http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=28902 Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15 mm Infill: 10% Notes: This object should be easily printable on most 3d printers. I was able to successfully print these on a RepRap Prusa i3. I would recommend the following options: - 0.15 mm Layer Height - 3 Shells - 10% infill is ok So just slice this STL file, print the gcode, and you'll be good to go - I hope this helps you!
