Large sliding webcam cover
prusaprinters
Over 2 years past initial covid shutdowns, work finally bought me a webcam! Well, got me a used webcam. Now, like the other hip kids these days, I need a webcam cover to ensure my privacy. It's a quick and simple print. 0.28 layer height worked great for me, printing both pieces in under 20 minutes, only using 1.9g / 0.63m of filament. The circular opening is 15mm, so please check your lens diameter to make sure it's large enough. The base is 49mm wide x 27mm tall. The hole for the LED indicator is 16mm from the center of the lens. There's a separate base file without the hole. Need a different location for the LED light? Let me know and I'll nudge the hole over wherever you want.RemixThis is technically a remix of Reven's webcam cover, but other than the gripped slider I ended up designing this from scratch. It was a good basis for inspiration though! I just needed something larger to suit my needs, and fiddling with resizing their original design didn't quite work out.InstallationI used thin double sided tape to adhere mine to my webcam. Glue would work as well. Take your time to get it centered well. Enjoy!
