Large- Self Watering Planter (for use with wick)
thingiverse
This is a self-watering planter to be used with wicks all the pots I could find had the plants soil submerged into the bottom I wanted to use a wick. Prints out at 213mm diameter with .8mm walls. Edit: Added a new body will a fill lip so you don’t have to remove the plane to add water I printed on spiral or vase mode depending on your slicer you do need to use some waterproofing I used gorilla clear waterproof spray 4 or 5 coats. I will print the bottom printed normally to check if needs waterproofing if it also needs spray to waterproof, I may make another version with 4 walls to see if it I doesn't need extra water proofing then Edit: 3/6/21 Uploading the finale versions of both the top and bottom I have designed both so they can be printed watertight. I did it on my ender 5 with .4 nozzle using sun plan+ using cura as my slicer using the settings below .12-layer height speed 40mm/s temp 210 no skirt or brim flow 105% 2 walls at .4mm width bottom .84 mm or 7-8 layers The top needs to have the fill slot in a corner to fit on the build plate. With these setting the bottom will take just about 24 hours to print. I did not bother to print the bottom with these setting as it just has soil but the same design principles went into it so I assume you could it would just take a few days. I printed my top with .3-layer height and 2 walls it took just over 8 hours. The new top has a fill spot and a lip to add water for heavier plants I will likely design funnel but I want this to be able to print on my build plate so this is as big as I could go with it. If people want, I can mix it into a smaller one.
