Large Rotary Photography Stand

This is a large photography stand that I designed to make taking multiple photos at regular angular intervals of big objects easier. There are several great rotary stands on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1085472 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1762299 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3958326 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2031323 But none of them could handle the size and weight of some objects I wanted to photograph, so I created this design that uses layered laser-cut flat sheets and 100 steel ball bearings to make a large thrust bearing. A Nema-17 smoothly accelerates the stand to its next position, and an Arduino handles motor control and camera triggering.
